Empty walls are a missed opportunity. Shelves, floating cabinets, or artwork can break up a blank surface and add storage. In a corner, a small armchair or a corner couch can turn dead space into a cozy reading nook.

Don’t forget about the flow of light. Keep windows clear of tall furniture that blocks sunlight. Place mirrors opposite windows to bounce light around; the room feels larger and brighter.

Finally, test your layout. Walk the path you’d use daily – to the kitchen, bathroom, or bedroom. If anything feels cramped, move a piece a few inches. Small tweaks make a big difference.
